We know that if θ is the inclination of a straight line, then tanθ is called the slope (or gradient) of a line. The slope of a line is usually denoted by m.

Here, it is given that θ=450, therefore, the slope of the line is:

m=tan450=1

Hence, the slope of the line is 1.
