Given , the linear equation is $2 x - 0.8 = 23.2____________(1)$
Adding $0.8$ on the both side of the given equation , we get
$\Rightarrow 2 x - 0.8 + 0.8 = 23.2 + 0.8$
$\Rightarrow x = 23.2 + 0.8$
$\Rightarrow x = 24$
So, the required solution of the equation is $x = 24$ .
Check :- Putting $x = 24$ in the given equation $(1)$ ,
LHS $= 24 - 0.8$
$= 23.2$
Since, LHS $=$ RHS $=$ $23.2$
Hence, solution is verified.
