Solution

The correct option is A

x = - 2 and y = - 1

3x5y=1 ...(1)

xy=1 ...(2)

On multiplying equation (2) by 3, we get

3x3y=3 ...(3)

On subtracting equation (1) from (3), we get

2y=2

y=1

On substituting y=1 in equation (2), we get

x+1=1

x=2

x=2 and y=1
