The correct option is C x=1,y=2
3xy=1---(1)
x+2y=5---(2)
Using formula for cross multiplication method:
x(b1c2b2c1)=y(c1a2a1c2)=1(a1b2a2b1)
So, from equation (1) and (2) we can write the value ofa,b and c.
x1×52×1=y1×13×5=13×21×(1)
x52=y115=16+1
x7=y14=17
x7=17
7x=7
x=1
y14=17
7y=14
y=2
Therefore, x=1,y=2
