Question

Find the speed in each case :
A train covers 300 km in 4 hours.

Open in App
Solution

We have,

Distance covered =300 km

Let, the speed of the train =x km

t1=300x....(1)

Distance=300 km

Speed=(x10)km

t2=300(x10)....(2)

Given eqn (1)(2)=1 hr

300(x10)300x=1

[300x300(x10)](x10)x=1

300x300x+3000=(x10)x

3000=(x10)x

Let, x=60

3000=(6010)60

Therefore speed of the train (x)=60 km/hr
