We know that $(a + b)^{2} = a^{2} + 2 a b + b^{2}$
$(32)^{2} = (30 + 2)^{2} = (30)^{2} + 2 (30) (2) + (2)^{2}$
$= 900 + 120 + 4 = 1024$
