(iv) 2a1a

Open in App
Solution

Since we know that
(a+b)2=a2+2ab+b2
(ab)2=a22ab+b2
Now,
(i)
(x+3y)2=x2+2×x×3y+(3y)2
=x2+6xy+9y2

(ii)
(2x5y)2=(2x)22×2x×5y+(5y)2
=4x220xy+25y2
(iii)
(a+15a)2=a2+2×a×12a+(12a)2
=a2+1+14a2
(iv)
(2a1a)=(1a)2
(1a)2=1a2
