Find the square root of the following number by Division method.

Consider first two digits and then the next two digits.If there are three digits in the given number then first consider the first digit and then the take two digits together

10x | 981 |
Now the number 981 has 1 in units place so take a number which has 1 at the end (ex.1*1=9 and 9*9=81)
So put 9 in the place of x and multiply the x value with 10x(that is 981) u will get the remainder as 0
Therefore the square root of 3481 is 5x*5x i.e. 59*59=3481
