Find the square root of (x2−y2) + 2ixy.
(x - iy)
(x + iy)
Let the square root of (x2−y2) + 2ixy = a + ib
√(x2−y2)+2ixy=α+ib
Square on both sides
(x2−y2)+2ixy=(a2−b2) + 2iab
Compare both the sides we get,
a =±x
b = ±y
So, square root is ±(x + iy).
