Open in App
Solution

Zeros : 1 Mark
Sum of zeros : 0.5 Mark
Product of zeros : 0.5 Mark

Given polynomial is,

9x26x+1

=9x23x3x+1

=3x(3x1)1(3x1)

=(3x1)2

For the zeroes,

(3x1)2=0x=13

Their sum and product is,

α+β=13+13=23

αβ=13×13=19

Alternative method:
Sum of zeros=α+β=ba=(6)9=23,
Product of zeros=ca=19.
