Question

Find the sum of the following:

(-3)+(-6)

Open in App
Solution

(-3)+(-6)

Since -3 and -6 are both negative.

For adding integers with the same sign, we have to add their absolute values and the sum obtained will have a negative sign if both integers are negative.

Therefore, the sum =-(-3+-6)

=-(3+6)

=-9.

Final Answer: (-3)+(-6)=-9
