Solution

From statements a, b, c: In terms of the number of books: C>B>E & A>D. From statement- c, A does not have the maximum number of books. Therefore C must have the maximum number of books. C does not have the Hindi book and as per the question, each student has a different number of books, therefore, C must have four books and the rest four students must posse 3, 2, 1, 0 books.
C- English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology. E must have two books and one of these books is Physics and the other one is Chemistry. Also, then D would have the least number of books and that would be equal to 0 books. So, D has no book.
According to the question, each subject book is possessed by a different number of students. Therefore no one should possess Hindi book (as there is at least 1 person possessing the books of each of the other subjects).
D<A<E<B<C.
