Step: Finding the sum
We need to add $(4 x^{3} + 2 x^{2} - x + 1), (2 x^{3} - 5 x^{2} - 3 x + 6), (x^{2} + 8)$ and $(5 x^{3} - 7 x) .$
$= (4 x^{3} + 2 x^{2} - x + 1) + (2 x^{3} - 5 x^{2} - 3 x + 6) + (x^{2} + 8) + (5 x^{3} - 7 x)$
$= (4 x^{3} + 2 x^{3} + 5 x^{3}) + (2 x^{2} - 5 x^{2} + x^{2}) + (- x - 3 x - 7 x) + (1 + 6 + 8)$ [Grouping like terms]
$= (6 x^{3} + 5 x^{3}) + (3 x^{2} - 5 x^{2}) + (- 4 x - 7 x) + (7 + 8)$ $= 11 x^{3} - 2 x^{2} - 11 x + 15$
Hence, the answer is $11 x^{3} - 2 x^{2} - 11 x + 15.$
