(i) 1.2 m (ii) 27 cm (iii) 3 cm (iv) 6 m (v) 2.1 m

Open in App
Solution

(i) Edge of the cube (a) = 1.2 m
Surfacearea=6a2=6×(1.2)2m2
= 6×1.44=8.64m2
(ii) Edge of cube (a) = 27 cm
Surfacearea=6a2=6×(27)2m2
= 6×729=4374m2
(iii) Edge of cube (a) = 3 cm
Surfacearea=6a2=6×(3)2m2
= 6×9cm2=54cm2
(iv) Edge of cube (a) = 6 m
Surfacearea=6a2=6×(6)2m2
= 6×6×6=216m2
(v) Edge of the cube (a) = 2.1 m
Surfacearea=6a2=6×(2.1)2m2
= 6×4.41=26.46m2
