The given system can be reframed as shown

From constraint condition, we have
(i) ..L1+..L2=0a2+ap=0ap=a2
(ii) ..L3+..L4=0apap+a1=0a1=2ap
Hence, a1=2a2

Hence, let acceleration of 2 kg block is a upwards, and acceleration of 4 kg block is 2a downwards.

Applying Newton's Second Law,

For 2 kg body:
2T20=2a ... (3)

For 4 kg body:
40T=4×2a ... (4)
From (3) and (4)
4×(2T20)=40T
