(i) 15 and 45

Let third proportional be 'x'

Then 15:45 = 45:x

$\Rightarrow \frac{15}{45}=\frac{45}{x}$

$\Rightarrow x=135$

(ii) 16 and 36

$\Rightarrow 16:36=36:k$

$\Rightarrow \frac{16}{36}=\frac{36}{x}$

$\Rightarrow x=81$
