Perimeter of the triangle = sum of its three sides

$⟹$ $8 m^{2} - 9 m + 4$ = ( $3 m^{2} - 5 m$ ) + ( $4 m^{2} + 12$ ) + $x$

$⟹$ $x$ = $(8 m^{2} - 9 m + 4) - (3 m^{2} - 5 m) - (4 m^{2} + 12)$

$⟹$ $x$ = $8 m^{2} - 9 m + 4 - 3 m^{2} + 5 m - 4 m^{2} - 12$

$⟹$ $x$ = $8 m^{2} - 4 m^{2} - 3 m^{2} - 9 m + 5 m + 4 - 12$

$⟹$ $x$ = $m^{2} - 4 m - 8$
