Fehling test is used for different between carbonyls.
Schiff's test is a qualitative test for aldehydes.
Victor Mayer test and Lucas test is uesed to differentiate between primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols. Since both are primary alcohols so they can not be differentiated.
Ethanol is only primary alcohol to give positive idoform test.

Both react with sodiam metal to produce hydrogen gas.
