y = $5^{{log}_{5} 81}$

Taking log on both sides to the base 5

${log}_{5} y$ = ${log}_{5} 5^{{log}_{5} 81}$

${log}_{5} y$ = ${log}_{5} 81$ . ${log}_{5} 5$ { ${log}_{5} 5 = 1$ }

${log}_{5} y$ = ${log}_{5} 81$

y = 81
