Solution

a)the number given are full negative and we can take - as common oustside
so we can write -(392+5+8+15)=-420 ##if we multiply that - inside the bracket it again changes to -392+-5+-8+-15 so both are correct..##

b)group the negative and positive numbers togetherness for easiness
-137-84+854+506

take the common negative from first tow numbers and simply add the last two numbers

-(137+84)+1360

now add the numbers inside the bracket
-(221)+1360

now 1360 is larger than 221...so now subtract 221 from 1360 ie.1360-221=1139

c)so we need to subtract -89 for -54
ie-54- (-89) we know - multipiled by - is +

so question becomes -54+89
so 89 is greater than 54
so subtarct 54 from 89
so 89-54=35

therefore subtracting -89 from -54 is same as subtarcting 89 from -54

d)this question si same as 389+54-774-39 as we know - multiplied by + is -

so here we add 1st two numbers and from the last two numbers we take the - as common outside

ie.389+54-(774+39)
=443-(774+39)

now we add the terms inside the bracket
=443-813

so 813 is greater than 443

so here we subtarct 443 from 813 and will put a negative sign along with the answer

so it will be -(813-443)=-370
