Find the value of k for which the system of equation X+2y-3=0 and 5x+my+7=0 has no solution

Solution

The condition for no solution is...
a1/a2 = b1/b2 not equals to c1/c2,
so,
a1 = 1 , a2= 5 , b1= 2 , b2 = k
1/5 = 2/k,
now,
k = 2*5 = 10 (by cross multiplication)
