$6 x^{2} - x - x = 0$

$i f x = \frac{3}{2} is a root then,it must satisfy equation$

$P u t x = \frac{3}{2}$

$6 {(\frac{3}{2})}^{2} - \frac{3}{2} - k = 0$

$3 \times \frac{9}{2} - \frac{3}{2} - k = 0$

$k = \frac{27}{2} - \frac{3}{2}$

$= \frac{24}{2} = 12$

$k = 12$
