If p×q=18 and p+q=7

p+q=7

p×q=18p=18q

Substituting the value of p in equation p+q=7 we get

18q+q=7

q2+7q18=0

=(q+9)(q2)

q=9,2

if q=9 then

p=18q=189=2

p=2

These values should satisfy the equation,

p+q=7
=29
=7
q=9,p=2
