$x, 2 x + p, 3 x + 6 \Rightarrow$ are in AP

If $a, b, c$ are in A.P then $2 (b) = a + c$

$2 (2 x + p) = x + 3 x + 6$

$4 x + 2 p = 4 x + 6$

$2 p = 6$

$p = 3$
