Given polynomial is $4 x^{2} - 5 x + 3$
We need to find the value of polynomial at $x = - 1$ .
Replace $x$ by $- 1$ , we get
$p (x) = 4 x^{2} - 5 x + 3$
$\Rightarrow p (- 1) = 4 (- 1)^{2} - 5 (- 1) + 3$
$\Rightarrow p (- 1) = 4 + 5 + 3$
