Find the value of the unknowns $x$ and $y$ in the given kite $ABCD$;

We know that in a kite there are $2$ sets of adjacent sides that are equal

Hence we have,

$\Rightarrow x-2=10$ .....$\left(1\right)$

$\Rightarrow x-7=y+1$ .....$\left(2\right)$

On solving $\left(1\right)$ we get $\Rightarrow x=12$

Substituting this value of $x$ in eq$\left(2\right)$ we get,

$12-7=y+1$

$5=y+1$

$\Rightarrow y=4$

Therefore, $x=12,y=4$
