Solution

The correct option is A

k = Rs. 7, d = Rs. 10

k2+d2=149 --------- (i)

CommoditiesABCDETotalPrice in 2000 (Rs.)10122k2347+kPrice in 2006 (Rs.)1417d93171+d

Given, 71 + d = 1.5(47 + k)
142 + 2d = 141 + 3k
3k - 2d = 1 ------------ (ii)

Putting the value of d from (ii) into (i), we get
k2+[(3k1)2]2=149
13k26k595=0
k = Rs.7
Therefore , d2=14972=14949=100
d = Rs.10
