Let's find x with the help of a distributive property.

The distributive property of multiplication states that when a number is multiplied with sum of two numbers, the number gets equally distributed to both the numbers inside the bracket.

3×(1+2)=3×x+6
LHS=RHS

Step 1: Now, take LHS: 3×(1+2)

Step 2: Multiply 3 with the numbers inside the bracket
3×(1+2)=(3×1)+(3×2)
=3×1+6...(1)

Step 3: Now,
Take RHS =3×x+6...(2)
Compare (1) and (2)
3×x + 6=3×1+6

The value of x is 1
