Question

FIND THE VALUE OF x:
a) IF sin2x = sin60°cos30°- cos60°sin30°
b) IF cos(40°+x)= sin30°

Solution

Sin(A-B)=sin A cos B-cos A sin B
here sin2X=sin 60 cos 30-cos 60 sin 30
comparing this 2 equations we get 2X=(60-30)=30
X=15
2.WE know sin 30=cos(90-30)=cos 60
so here cos(40+x)=sin 30
comparing this we get 40+x=60
x=20
