Solution

1. 3x-2y = 0 -------(i)
x+y = 5--------(ii)

(ii) × 2 2x + 2y = 10-----(iii)
(iii) + (i) 5x = 10
x = 2

Substitute the value of x in (i)
y = 3

x = 2 and y = 3

2. 2x+3y =5 ------(i)
x+2y = 3 ------(ii)

(ii) × 2 2x +4y = 6 ----(iii)

(iii) - (i) y = 1

Substitute the value of y in (i)
x = 1

x = 1 and y = 1

3. 3x-2y = 6---------(i)
x+y = 2---------(ii)

From (ii) we get, x = (2-y)
Substitute the value of x in (i)

3(2-y) - 2y = 6
6 - 5y = 6
y = 0

Substitute the value of y in (ii)
x = 2

x = 2 and y = 0

4. x+2y = 2------(i)
x-2y = 6-------(ii)

(i) - (ii) 4y = -4
y = -1

Substitute the value of y in (i)
x = 4

x = 4 and y = -1
