The correct option is A (5,3)
2x+y=13 ....(1)
x+y=8 .....(2)
First use formula for cross multiplication method:
xb1c2b2c1=yc1a2a1c2=1a2b2a2b1
So, from equation (1) and (2), we can write the value of a,b and c.
Therefore, x1×81×13=y13×12×8=12×11×1
x813=y1316=121
x5=y3=11
x5=11
x=51=5
y3=11
y=31=3
The solution is (5,3).
