The correct option is B (4,1)
3x+5y=17 ----- (1)
2x+y=9 ----- (2)
First use formula for cross multiplication method:
xb1c2b2c1=yc1a2a1c2=1a2b2a2b1
So, from equation (1) and (2), we can write the value of a, b and c.
Thus x5×91×17=y17×23×9=13×12×5
x4517=y3427=1310
x28=y7=17
x28=17
x=287=4
y7=17
y=77=1
The solution is(4,1).
