The correct option is C (-1, 1)
5x+3y=8 ----- (1)
4x+9y=5 ----- (2)
First use formula for cross multiplication method:
xb1c2b2c1=yc1a2a1c2=1a2b2a2b1
So, from equation (1) and (2) we can write the value of a, b and c.
x3×59×8=y8×4(5)×5=15×94×3
x1572=y32+25=14512
x57=y57=157
x57=157
x=5757=1
y57=157
y=5757
y=1
The solution is (-1, 1)
