The correct option is C (5, -2)
5x+8y=9 ----- (1)
2x+3y=4 ----- (2)
First use formula for cross multiplication method:
xb1c2b2c1=yc1a2a1c2=1a2b2a2b1
So, from equation (1) and (2) we can write the value of a, b and c.
x8×43×9=y9×25×4=15×32×8
x3227=y1820=11516
x5=y2=11
x5=11
x=51=5
y2=11
y=21=2
The solution is (5, -2)
