If, $a, b, & c$ are three whole numbers, then $(a + b) + c = a + (b + c)$ , This property is called the associative property of addition.
$(41 + 19) + 140 = x + (19 + 140)$
by comparing both side we get,
$x = 41 .$
Hence, the required value of $x$ is $41 .$
