Find the value of x for which ${(\frac{4}{9})}^{4} \times {(\frac{4}{9})}^{- 7} = {(\frac{4}{9})}^{2 x - 1}$

${(\frac{4}{9})}^{4} \times {(\frac{4}{9})}^{- 7} = {(\frac{4}{9})}^{2 x - 1}$

$\Rightarrow {(\frac{4}{9})}^{4 - 7} = {(\frac{4}{9})}^{2 x - 1}$

$\Rightarrow {(\frac{4}{9})}^{- 3} = {(\frac{4}{9})}^{2 x - 1}$

$∴ 2 x - 1 = - 3 \Rightarrow 2 x = - 3 + 1$

$\Rightarrow 2 x = - 2 \Rightarrow x = \frac{- 2}{2} = - 1$

Hence x =-1
