so, $a=2,b=3,c=46,d=x$

by $eq\left(1\right)$ we have-

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow 2\times x=3\times 46 \\ \Rightarrow 2x=138 \\ \Rightarrow x=\frac{138}{2} \\ \Rightarrow x=69 \end{gathered}$$

Hence for the value of $x=69$ the given $2:3::46:x$ are in proportions.
