0.25(3x-1) = 0.05(8x-6)

$\frac{3 x - 1}{4}$ = $\frac{8 x - 6}{20}$

By cross multiplication

15x – 5 = 8x – 6

7x = -1

X = $\frac{- 1}{7}$
