Solution

(i) $|11 - 25| = |- 14| = 14$

(ii) $|9| + |- 9| = 9 + 9 = 18$

(iii) $|6 \times 3 + (- 6) \times 3| = |18 - 18| = 0$

(iv) $|x + 5 - (7 + x)| = |x + 5 - 7 - x| = |- 2| = 2$

(v) $|4| \times |- 8| = 4 \times 8 = 32$

(vi) $|3 (3 - 8) + (- 5)| = |3 (- 5) - 5| = |- 15 - 5| = |- 20| = 20$
