Volume of cuboid
$= (l \times b \times h) c u b i c u n i t s$

$= (5 \times 3.5 \times 2.4) m^{3}$

$= 42 m^{3}$

The nearest whole cube to $42 m^{3}$ is $64 m^{3}$ .

$\Rightarrow 64 - 42 = 22 m^{3}$ needs to be added to make it into a cube with sides each of length $4 m$ .
