Total volume of the solid = Sum of volumes of both the cubes


Volume of a cube
= Length × Width × Height

For a cube: length = width = height

Volume of cube with length 4 ft
= 4 × 4 × 4
= 64 cubic feet

Volume of cube with height 5 ft
= 5 × 5 × 5
= 125 cubic feet

Total volume = 64 + 125
= 189 cubic feet
