Up to x1 displacement, let the work done be W1
W1=area of right angled triangle=b×h2
W1 = ((30−0)×(4−0))2 = 60 J
But after, x1, the force becomes negative. Let this work done be W2.
W2 = ((45−30)×(−2−0))2 = 15J
Hence, Total work done = W1 + W2 = 60 + (-15) = 45 J
