x=3±26

The distance between points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is given by (x2x1)2+(y2y1)2

So, the distance between points (2,3) and (3,x) will be

(2+3)2+(x+3)2=5

(x+3)2+1=25

(x+3)2=251=24

x+3=±24=±26

Take square root both sides

x=3±26
