Given : Polynomial px= 2x2-8x+62x2-6x-2x+6=02xx-3-2x-3=02x-2x-3=0So , x=1 , 3Therefore , α=1 and β=3 are the zeros of polynomial.Now , comparing given px=2x2-8x+6 with ax2+bx+cwe get a=2 , b=-8 , c=6 now verifySum of zeros=-coefficient of xcoefficient of x2i.e α+β=-ba1+3=--824=4Product of zeros=constant termcoefficient of x2i.e αβ=ca1×3=623=3 Hence relationship between zeros and coefficient is verified
