Question

Find the zeroes of the polynomial 54x5 by representing the linear polynomial solution in a graph.

Open in App
Solution

Let y=54x5
4x+5y5 -- (1)
From equation (1) assume the value of x and y to satisfy the equation to zero.
Plotting (0,1),(1.25,0) and joining them, we get another straight line.
The graph of 4x+5y5 intersect the x-axis at (1.25,0). Hence the zero of given polynomial is 1.25 as it intersects at x-axis at (1.25,0).
