4x+5y−5 -- (1) From equation (1) assume the value of x and y to satisfy the equation to zero. Plotting (0,1),(1.25,0) and joining them, we get another straight line. The graph of 4x+5y−5 intersect the x-axis at (1.25,0). Hence the zero of given polynomial is 1.25 as it intersects at x-axis at (1.25,0).
