The correct option is C


f(s) = 4s24s+1

f(s) = 0

4s24s+1 = 0

(2s)22×2s×1+1 = 0

(2s1)2 = 0

(2s-1)(2s-1) = 0

2s = 1 = 1

s = 12,12

So we have found out the two roots of the above given equation. Now the sum of the two roots = 12+12 = 1
