Solution

Concept : 1 Mark
Application : 1 Mark
Calculation : 2 Marks

Let α, β, γ be the zeros of polynomial f(x) such that α+β=0

Then,

Sum of the zeros
=Coefficient of x2Coefficient of x3

α+β+γ=(51)

γ=5 [α+β=0]

Product of the zeros
=Constant termCoefficient of x3

αβγ=801

5αβ=80 [γ=5]

αβ=16

α2=16 [α+β=0 β=α]

α=±4

Now,
α+β=0 and α=±4β=4

Hence, the zeros are 4, -4 and 5
