Open in App
Solution

Let one of the number be x.
∴ The other number = (x + 18)
According to the question:
x + (x + 18) = 92
or, 2x + 18 - 18 = 92 - 18 [Subtracting 18 from both the sides]
or, 2x =74
or, 2x2 = 742 [Dividing both the sides by 2]
or, x = 37
Required numbers are:
x = 37
or, x + 18 = 37 + 18 = 55
