and $120°=x+y$ ( by exterior angle property of a triangle )

$$\begin{gathered} 120°=x+70° \\ 120-70°=x \\ 50°=x \end{gathered}$$

and $z+120°=180°$(by straight angle property)

$z=180°-120°=60°$
