Number of students in the car =7
Number of buses =5
Let the number of students in each bus be x.
Then, the number of students in 5 buses =5x
Number of students in 5 buses + number of students in the car = total number of students ⇒5x+7=92
Subtracting 7 from both sides of the equation,
⇒5x+7−7=92−7 ⇒5x=85
Dividing both sides by 5, ⇒5x5=855 ⇒x=17
